Judging Waru
365 AC - Removal and Expulsion Verdict
Judge turned and looked at Waru with unrelenting stare. Issitoq floated above attendees like inquisitive eye. He had listened to cases put forward by defense and Libra prosecutor.
His eyes lit up and blue rays illuminated Waru from head to toe. His voice boomed out like roar of thunder, like rumbling of avalanche. Waru placed knee on ground as he listened to verdict: immediate removal and expulsion for minimum of three years.
Behind Waru, his supporters protested and shouted this was disgrace. Issitoq’s eyes closed and like eyeball, Eidolon turned to face entrance to Court. Having delivered judgment and announced punishment, he slowly faded away.
Waru silently rejoiced though he couldn’t show it. By his sacrifice, he had given Avkan complete freedom to approve launch of Rediscovery Endeavor. Through scheming, he had silenced protest. Position he was vacating would be fought over, and resulting succession struggle would prevent hopefuls from effectively moving against Basileus.
Waru stood up and moved toward exit with head held high, feigning contrition while maintaining pride.
