Mighty Jinn

Overview

Mighty Jinn is a large and powerful fire elemental Eidolon significantly larger and more impressive than the Tiny Jinn found in the Parliament of Ashes. It wades through lava and molten rock as if through shallow pools of cool water, serving as both barrier and combatant in hostile volcanic environments.

Appearance

The Mighty Jinn manifests with:

  • Crimson-hued glow creating doomsday-like illumination
  • Glowing mane that flickers like candle flames
  • Body capable of wading through molten streams
  • Shield formed from metal drawn from molten rock itself
  • Massive size that dwarfs standard Jinn

Abilities

Lava Immunity

The Mighty Jinn demonstrates complete imperviousness to extreme heat and molten environments. It shakes itself off after exposure to lava and moves through liquid fire as though it were shallow, cool water.

Defensive Barrier

The Jinn creates physical barriers with its body, providing protection for summoners to prepare attacks. It shields itself using metal that it draws directly from molten rock in its environment.

Mana Dissipation

When dismissed or when Mana expenditure ends, the Mighty Jinn dissipates in whirls of Mana. This residual energy can be captured and absorbed by the summoner for further use in combat sequences.

Summoning History

392 AC - Atsadi’s Combat Against Basalt Elementals

Atsadi summoned the Mighty Jinn during combat with basalt elementals in a volcanic area where ground cracked under lava pressure. Dark smoke wisps whistled as the powerful Jinn manifested, melting cliff sides and creating belches of lava from subsurface.

The Jinn’s presence frightened basalt elementals who withdrew from liquid fire threatening to dissolve them. In crimson-hued doomsday glow, the Mighty Jinn made a barrier with its body, allowing Atsadi to ready his next assault. Despite its fierceness and metal shield drawn from molten rock, it would not have been enough alone to defeat the elementals.

As the assault approached, the Jinn’s glowing mane began flickering like a candle flame about to extinguish, signaling the end of its manifestation. Atsadi set off as the Eidolon dissipated in whirls of Mana. He captured residual energy and absorbed it while Surge sprang up. Cutting through fiery plumes where the Jinn had vanished, Surge charged up Atsadi’s weapon and supported his blade, resulting in successful strike that split boulder and defeated basalt elementals.

Comparison to Other Jinn

The Mighty Jinn is explicitly contrasted with Jinn encountered in the Parliament of Ashes. It is much larger and infinitely more impressive than standard Jinn, representing a more powerful category of fire elemental Eidolon.

Relationships

  • Atsadi: Primary summoner who used Mighty Jinn in basalt elemental combat (392 AC)
  • Surge: Alter Ego who utilized Jinn’s residual Mana for weapon charging
  • Tiny Jinn: Smaller, less powerful variant found in Parliament of Ashes
  • Swift Jinn: Fire elemental variant specialized in aerial attacks and explosive light
