Mowgli

Mowgli is an Eidolon representing a wild child who exists between human civilization and feral wilderness. The Eidolon can be summoned by those who identify with living on both sides of boundaries.

Appearance

Mowgli appears as a child with jet-black curls. He wears a headdress made of twigs and leaves, a belt, and a loincloth constructed from feathers and flax. His dark skin is smeared with dried mud and adorned with ceremonial paints. The Eidolon drops down from tree foliage when manifesting.

Nature and Movement

Mowgli can move freely between the world of humans and feral expanses. He exists on both sides of the threshold between civilization and wilderness. He approaches offering baskets to check their contents and communicates through wordless exchanges such as shared smiles.

Summoning

379 AC - Arjun’s Offering

Arjun set down a basket of offerings at the threshold of an old forest, following village tradition that had been maintained for centuries. After experiencing a transformative dream that lifted fears about the forest, Arjun found Alteration coming naturally and Eidolons manifesting around them.

To summon Mowgli, Arjun imagined a snap amongst branches and visualized a figure dropping from an old oak tree’s foliage. By breathing Mana into this mental image, the scene and character came alive. Mowgli straightened up after appearing and gazed intensely at Arjun from behind his curls.

Arjun identified with Mowgli’s ability to move between human and feral worlds. After Mowgli approached and checked the basket’s contents, they exchanged a wordless smile.
