Son of Yggdrasil
Son of Yggdrasil is a giant tree Eidolon who provides long-distance transportation by carrying travelers on his shoulder. He covers miles with single steps while carefully avoiding trampling vegetation.
Physical Form
Son of Yggdrasil appears as a giant with gnarled hands and bark skin. His outer layer is covered with branches. He stands tall enough that passengers on his shoulder can see horizons at the threshold between sky and earth. His footprints are huge, left in clearings and bogs.
Movement and Transportation
When the Eidolon walks, he makes the earth quake with tremors traveling up his limbs. He steps over hills and grasps mountain ridges to climb steep foothills. The wind is blustery and strong at the height where passengers ride.
With one step, Son of Yggdrasil covers miles, crossing forests as if they were backyard vegetable patches. Despite his size, he is careful to avoid trampling trees. He leaves huge footprints in clearings and bogs rather than on vegetation.
The journey that would take travelers days to complete on foot can be accomplished much faster with Son of Yggdrasil’s assistance.
Passenger Experience
Passengers climb onto the gnarled hand he holds out, clinging to bark skin while he lifts them onto his shoulder. They must hold breath and cling to branches covering his outer layer while trying not to look at ground below. Companions with wings experience difficulty maintaining balance, trembling and buzzing frenetically like hummingbirds with each step.
The blustery wind at such height makes it difficult to open eyes. However, from his shoulder, passengers can glimpse distant horizons including Tumult effluvia shimmering like mirages.
