Tooth Fairy

Tooth Fairy is an Eidolon with a scorpion tail who trades venom treatments for teeth. Her venom relieves Remanence by purging minds of parasitic ideas from The Empyrean, though toxins poison flesh. She competes with the Little Mouse for tooth collection.

Appearance

Tooth Fairy has wings that buzz when landing. She possesses scorpion tail that flicks while scanning surroundings. She shows fangs to claim collected teeth as her property.

Venom Properties

Tooth Fairy’s venom relieves Remanence affliction by purging psyche of parasitic ideas from Empyrean. When stinger pierces skin, toxins help rein in intrusive thoughts lurking in mind. Tumult in mind relents after venom application.

However, venom poisons flesh as trade-off for mental relief. Skin turns gangrenous purple where barb enters. Drop of blood appears when stinger is removed.

Tooth Collection Competition

When humans leave a tooth somewhere, it functions as a ritual summoning that both the Tooth Fairy and Little Mouse must answer. This competition has existed for a long time. Each tooth collected grants the collector more power, while stealing a rival’s cached teeth weakens them. The Tooth Fairy prefers to let the Little Mouse believe it has free rein, then steal its buried caches.

392 AC - Treating Afanas’s Remanence

Afanas placed tooth on summoning circle with trembling hand. Trouble was brewing - erratic and absurd ideas forming in crucible of mind. If control lost, ideas could damage Afanas and peers. Afanas needed to carry out tand-fe quickly to avoid spiraling into insanity.

Tooth Fairy appeared with buzzing wings. Scorpion tail flicked as she scanned surroundings. She noticed tooth and grabbed it showing fangs. Afanas rolled up sleeve placing forearm on table. Tooth Fairy knew what was wanted - not first time they made this deal.

She swiftly planted barb in flesh. Long ago, Afanas found venom could relieve Remanence. For all Yzmir, only matter of time before magic takes toll. All they can do is delay inevitable. Tooth Fairy was Afanas’s way of silencing intrusive ideas.

The Tooth Fairy observed the Little Mouse burying a cache of baby teeth in The Undergrowth, hiding in a thicket and planning to steal the collection, but was summoned away by a mage requiring healing before she could act.
