Nishaanfjord

Overview

The Nishaanfjord, also known as the “Kerf Canal,” is a fjord in Arkaster. It splits into two branches at the southern tip of the isle of Yeni, where Haven is located.

Sacred Shore

On the Sonowen side of the fjord, the shore is considered a sacred sanctuary. It is along this cliffside that the tombs and crypts of the deceased are stored. Normally, the tombs can only be accessed by water from the Huskr district, but some paths lead down from Sonowen.

Navigation

The Huskr district serves as the departure point for the barges and gondolas that navigate the Nishaanfjord. The boatmen transport goods, visitors to the troglodyte cemeteries, or travelers to the distant Haven.

Geography

The steep, grassy slopes of Yeni island plunge sharply into the two arms of the Nishaanfjord.
