Musk Refuge

Overview

The Musk Refuge is one of the nine sanctuaries within The Refuges system in the Katkera forest. It is dedicated to the animals of the Peninsula and was the place of residence of Eru, one of Niavhe’s earliest disciples.

History

Eru chose to settle in the Katkera as a hermit, with only the wild species of the primordial forest as companions. Over time, his place of residence became the Musk Refuge.

Pilgrimage

Those who undertake the Nine-Stage Pilgrimage stop at the Musk Refuge for a time. It lies between the Refuges of Wind and Flow on the pilgrimage circuit.

Eru’s Manifestation

During their stay at the Musk Refuge, pilgrims may speak with Eru’s Eidolon, who still manifests in this place. In every such encounter, Eru advocates harmony among all forms of life, teaching that cooperation is the unmistakable sign of a strong and enduring ecosystem.
