Flamel

Flamel is Eidolon alchemist who presides over ceremonies where Yzmir Disciples earn Initiate rank. He gave humanity knowledge to sculpt Effigies, statuettes that facilitate Eidolon summoning.

Appearance and Demeanor

Flamel displays kind smile lighting up face. He approaches individuals ceremoniously and hands them tools for ritual tasks.

Historical Contribution

Flamel gave humanity knowledge to sculpt Effigies - little statuettes of Eidolons that make summoning them from Empyrean much easier. Legends cast him as powerful alchemist with particular gift for transmuting matter.

Ceremonial Role

Flamel presides over ceremony at Well of Tears where Yzmir Disciples earn rank as Initiates. It is customary for Eidolon to preside over this rite. Disciples position themselves in semicircle around Flamel as rite requires.

Initiation Process

Flamel calls first Disciple to come forward. Disciple steps forward ceremoniously. Eidolon hands hammer and chisel to Disciple. With these tools, Disciple can collect fragment of Megalith and be formally inducted into Faction.

Hammer blows ring out in vastness of cave. One by one, Disciples come forward to collect fragment of Aether anomaly.

Ceremony Location

386 AC - Presiding at Well of Tears

Procession of Disciples descended winding stairs of Well of Tears passing under plunging waterfalls, beneath stone arches, over narrow ledges. Slippery path wound along cliffside.

In middle of chasm, Megalith sparkled like crystal meteor floating in air. Base physically in reality but summit invisible lost in misty swirls. Aether Singularity dangerous but holds incredible power - exactly what they wanted to tap into.

Flamel waited with kind smile. Disciples reached location positioning in semicircle. Purplish glow of Megalith cast shadowy veil across faces hiding eyes.

Flamel called first forward. Handed hammer and chisel. Disciple collected Megalith fragment. One by one they came forward to collect Aether anomaly fragments.
