The Megalith

Overview

The Megalith is a titanic structure that floats within The Well of Tears, deep beneath The Kadigir. The Yzmir suspect it to be a relic of The Confluence—a mass of Aether trapped between reality and The Empyrean.

Physical Description

The Megalith emits violet reflections and vibrates with power. It hovers above the underground lake’s waters without visible support.

Monitoring

The Yzmir constantly monitor the Megalith as one of two persistent Tumult singularities within The Kadigir. The structure is currently dormant. Its presence was one reason Aysun founded The Kadigir at this location.

Yzmir Theory

The Yzmir theorize that if the barrier between worlds closed where the Megalith is trapped, the still-open breaches elsewhere could be sealed. Some occult theorists believe true stability will only occur when the two dimensions have fully merged.

Megalith Fragments

The Megalith is the source of Megalith Fragments. When aspirants become full Initiates, they descend to The Well of Tears, carve out a small fragment with hammer and chisel, and have it set into a jewel. This material acts as a catalyst for magical power, improving efficiency when practicing The Naali.
