Heimdall
Overview
Heimdall is an Eidolon representing the Norse guardian of the Bifrost rainbow bridge. He wields Gjallarhorn, an instrument with multiple horns that plays four notes and generates powerful sonic vibrations imbued with rainbow-colored energy. Heimdall emanates vivid light and inner fire, capable of destroying stone barriers through sound waves.
Appearance
Heimdall appears sparkly, gleaming, and colorful with vivid light emanating from him. He possesses inner fire similar to Ignescence. His chest and cheeks puff out when preparing to blow Gjallarhorn, and his eyebrows furrow during focused performance.
Gjallarhorn
Gjallarhorn is Heimdall’s signature instrument featuring multiple horns that play four notes simultaneously. The horn generates waves of pink and blue energy, vibrations that transform into powerful sound, and colorful filaments resembling cotton-candy or fountains of color. When energy mingles with sunlight, it creates rainbow effects. The sound can explode rock and collapse stone walls.
Timeline
393 AC - Cave Escape at Storvhit
Auraq summoned Heimdall while trapped in a dead-end ice cave at Storvhit. Auraq’s Ignescence called to him and he replied quickly. Heimdall blew Gjallarhorn, filling the cave with saturated hues. The sound grew stronger until the rock exploded and the stone wall collapsed, allowing sunlight to mingle with the colorful filaments. Auraq wished Fen had been present to appreciate the spectacle.
