Repotter Otter
Repotter Otter is an otter Eidolon who serves as gardener and healer for sentient plants. The Eidolon tends to sick or weakened plant Chimerae by carefully repotting them in rehabilitative containers with proper soil, drainage materials, and positioning to support recovery.
Appearance
Repotter Otter appears as an otter who works in greenhouse environments during storms and blizzards. The Eidolon grabs pots and fills them with materials needed for plant rehabilitation.
Healing Method
Repotter Otter tends to sick plants through careful repotting process:
- Grabs pot and fills with little balls of clay for drainage
- Adds bark and damp soil to create proper growing medium
- Gently places sentient plant in rehabilitation container
- Tenderly repots patient as though making a bed
- Positions container close to light source to ensure sufficient photosynthesis
- For plant Chimerae with wilted flowers, removes dead blooms to allow new buds to bloom more easily
The Eidolon works methodically through greenhouse, treating multiple patients in sequence with same careful attention.
Summoning
393 AC - Treating Spike During Blizzard
During blizzard, Arjun waited in greenhouse with sick Spike who had high fever and felt weak. Spike’s flowers covering head had wilted, and head drooped from exhaustion. Arjun placed Spike on lap and took temperature with thermometer.
Repotter Otter worked through current patients in greenhouse. First repotted sentient plant, then Coneman, then Sneezer Shroom who couldn’t stop spluttering clouds of half-filtered spores.
When Spike’s turn came, Repotter Otter placed him in pot and patted down earth around little feet, then wrapped bundle warmly. Eidolon removed wilted flowers covering Spike’s head so new bright-red corollae could bloom more easily over cute little face once Spike recovered. Arjun observed that Spike would be anxious to get moving again when feeling better due to his lack of patience for being stuck with nothing to do.
