Overview

Gaj is a Rear Admiral in the Asgarthan Navy and former mentor to Zhen. He served as Zhen’s superior during her time as Commodore before she rose to become his peer as Rear Admiral.

Background

Gaj and Bai Shan-shu, Zhen’s father, were close friends since their academy days, bound by mutual respect.

Timeline

393 AC - Expeditionary Fleet Launch

Gaj stood alongside Zhen aboard Mandjet during the launch of the Asgarthan armada to investigate the pillar of light signal. He noted that all ships appeared accounted for and that the hour of migration had come. Gaj acknowledged that Zhen would honor her father and expressed regret that Bai Shan-shu was not present to see her consecration.
