Bronté
Bronté is a human from the Cloud Realm who befriended Halua as a child before later orchestrating his betrayal.
Relationship with Halua
As children, Bronté and her sister would climb on Halua’s back, begging for rides. Halua remembers Bronté’s cloudy hair, similar to her sister’s, and the affection shown during the Fallow Period before biostimulants changed the community.
The Betrayal
As a young woman, Bronté approached Halua with the same gentle smile she had as a child. However, her sister was tense and guards surrounded them. Bronté placed her hand between Halua’s eyes and told him he must stop interfering with the humans’ activities. Without warning, serrated harpoons attached to heavy chains pierced Halua’s wings. This betrayal cemented Halua’s hatred of humans and led to his exile.
