Dredger Drone

Dredger Drones are automated flying machines used by the Axiom to excavate Sap veins at the City of Scholars.

Design

Each drone features two primary arms: one equipped for digging guided by sensors on its front panel, and another that guides rubble to an open hatch leading into the machine’s steel abdomen. When drilling, drones activate sirens and flashing lights to warn nearby workers of active operations.

Operation

Dredger Drones work in coordinated rotations with precise timing. When one drone fills its belly with rubble, it closes its hatch and flies to the quarry to deposit its load. A replacement drone immediately takes its position and continues drilling at the exact spot where the previous one stopped.

The coordinated movements resemble workers in a hive or anthill, performing a meticulous ballet while clearing piles of rubble and rocks to access Sap veins.
