Silg
Overview
The Silg is a mountain region located to the north of Kirighai island, in an area where humanity scarcely has the right to go. A mountain range with sharp relief looms over the Katkera forest. It is on these snowy heights that Kaibara, the tutelary Leviathan of the Asgarthan Peninsula, resides.
Geography
The Silg forms a natural barrier between Kirighai and the island of Enosha through a chain of sharp mountains and narrow fjords.
Environment
Invaded by ice, the Silg is an austere place that may seem devoid of life. However, numerous species still inhabit it. Snow-covered high foothills and wind-blown peaks stretch out pristine across the landscape.
Kaibara’s Dwelling
Within this desolate setting, Kaibara rests in a half-frozen lake dotted with icebergs.
Ice Formations
The ice of the Silg displays unusual coloration. Many icy formations have a turquoise, semi-transparent hue, while streaks of orange-yellow, pink, or red mark these frozen structures. In the icy seracs, one can sometimes see ideas trapped in the ice, their forms barely discernible.
