Kirighai

Overview

Kirighai is one of the four smaller peninsulas of Asgartha. It is recognized as a neutral and independent zone, separate from the Asgarthan Protectorate’s jurisdiction. The peninsula is almost entirely covered by a dense and primal forest, Katkera.

Access

Kirighai is accessible only by water or via its unique bridge from the island of Nisan, called the Mugen.

Geography

The Kirighai peninsula includes the Katkera forest and the Silg mountain region to the east. The Silg forms a natural barrier with the island of Enosha through a chain of sharp mountains and narrow fjords. On these snowy heights resides Kaibara, the tutelary Leviathan of the Asgarthan Peninsula.

Kirighai is connected to other peninsulas by the Shawl, a shallow strip of sea.

Population

Kirighai is sparsely populated by humans. Only the Muna Refuges (also called Temples of Serenity) constitute inhabited enclaves.

Climate

The climate is of the cold oceanic type.

Political Status

While territories of Vagheria and Suspira are directly under the control of Arkaster, the Kirighai peninsula is recognized as a neutral and independent zone.
