Overview
Khimaira is one of two Eidolon creatures that are normally bound by the Mandates of the Yzmir Faction. These monsters should not be able to be summoned under normal circumstances.
Historical Incidents
Attack at Cebir (before 392 AC)
During an earlier attempt to retake the fortress of Cebir in Caer Oorun, Khimaira was manifested and attacked Basira al-Arshad’s expedition. This attack, along with that of Mantichora, resulted in the slaughter of Basira’s entire Company, with Basira as the sole survivor.
Investigation (392 AC)
Afanas Korovinovich revealed to Basira that both Khimaira and Mantichora are Eidolons normally bound by Yzmir Mandates, meaning no one should be able to summon them. The fact that they were manifested suggests the work of a renegade Yzmir Mage, whom Afanas calls the “Chrysanthemum Cloaked Warlock.”
