Aysun

Overview

Aysun was the daughter of Rune, the first Kuningas of Asgartha, and founder of the Yzmir Faction. She established House ruun-Aysun, continuing the lineage of the first High King, and founded The Kadigir, the Yzmir headquarters chosen for its secluded position atop high cliffs and its Tumult singularities requiring monitoring.

Family

Aysun was the daughter of Rune and Ceren. Through her, the lineage of the first Kuningas continued, making House ruun-Aysun one of the nine patrician dynasties of the Old Nobility.

Timeline

42 AC - The Vanishing

When Rune disappeared, Tamrat led the inquiry commission and personally questioned Aysun along with Ceren, Heshkari, and Caellach. After Tamrat’s investigation uncovered evidence that a group of hooded individuals had sailed westward, he revealed his findings to Aysun. They talked at length, and afterward Tamrat went to Ceren with the official explanation that Rune had gone to challenge the Tumult one final time.

Aysun wore black and mourning at her father’s ceremonial funeral, bowing before an empty urn alongside Ceren and inviting the populace to mobilize for the succession elections.

Alternative Theories

Rumors challenge the official story of Rune’s disappearance. One theory holds that Rune and Aysun had a violent altercation the night before his disappearance on the heights of Sekent Isle. On his deathbed, Tamrat reportedly begged forgiveness for a secret he took to the grave.

Legacy

House ruun-Aysun has long since abandoned any political ambitions, choosing instead to devote themselves entirely to scholarship and knowledge. The house remains established in the Tesh Kanat district of Arkaster as part of the Old Nobility, closely associated with the Yzmir Faction.
