Anuar Binbasaki

Overview

Anuar Binbasaki was inventor who introduced young Vaike Swiftwater to Kelon crystals in 266 AC and later collaborated with her on pioneering kelonic energy research in 292 AC. Originally sought to modernize Arkaster capital’s street lighting using Kelon’s natural luminosity for profit. His early failed lightbulb project sparked Vaike’s lifelong fascination with Kelon’s energy potential.

Kelon Lightbulb Project - 266 AC

Binbasaki brought Kelon nugget to JSW Mehaanika workshop hoping to create new kind of lightbulb to modernize capital’s street lighting and profit handsomely from it. Needed to determine whether mineral’s natural luminosity could be enhanced. For weeks Wauna Swiftwater and Janek Janno built devices including mirror arrays to concentrate light and contraptions to “excite” material.

One experiment caused short circuit that fried every generator in workshop. Out of funds and patience, Binbasaki abandoned project. When leaving, he gifted seven-year-old Vaike crystal which she turned into pendant, wearing it throughout childhood.

Kelonic Energy Collaboration - 292 AC

After confirming Kelon’s energy potential through years of experimentation, Vaike reached out to Binbasaki asking if he’d like to assist in research. Aging inventor, surprised that girl still cared about material, agreed to join her.

In 292 AC with Binbasaki’s help, Vaike finally built casing strong enough to contain Kelon’s power and convert it into usable energy. With tanks, cylinders, and pressure vessels, they succeeded in taming crystal’s force. This breakthrough occurred during The Three Factions War while Ordis forces were occupying Sadracca.

Legacy

Binbasaki’s work with Vaike Swiftwater laid foundation for kelonic energy technology that would later power Industrial Revolution and unite Asgartha’s technical Guilds under Axiom banner. Edire Niski remembered Swiftwater and Binbasaki’s work when tasked with rebuilding capital after 305 AC tsunami, inviting Vaike to lead infrastructure transition to kelonic energy.
