Maris Chira

Overview

Maris Chira is a Yzmir mage stationed in Tsunoo, a settlement in the Nutsuwa Highlands. Maris served as an early mentor to Moyo Chibuye, encouraging the young naturalist’s interest in altered creatures.

Role as Mentor

Since Moyo Chibuye’s childhood, Maris received the altered insects Moyo captured in jars and nets. Unlike others who mocked or judged Moyo for his unusual interests, Maris told him that difference was wealth and standardization was impoverishment. This encouragement convinced Moyo to eventually join Yzmir.
