Vagheria

Overview

Vagheria is one of the four smaller peninsulas of Asgartha. It is an austere and rugged peninsula constantly battered by rain, serving as a natural barrier against The Tumult currents.

Political Status

The territory of Vagheria is directly under the control of Arkaster, rather than being part of one of the five autonomous Caers.

Geography and Climate

Vagheria’s terrain is rugged and inhospitable, with constant rainfall battering the landscape. This harsh topography made it a natural barrier against Tumult currents, and the peninsula absorbed the majority of the mutagenic flows from the titanic Tumult tsunami of 305 AC.

The Rampart

When The Rampart was extended, its architects leveraged the rugged topography of Vagheria to serve as the foundation for this magical wall protecting Asgartha from The Tumult and the Kraken.

Population

The peninsula is almost uninhabited, except for The Aegis sentinels, Bravos fighters, and Yzmir mages who have settled in scattered strongholds along the Rampart. These small contingents serve as lookouts and rotate every four months. Each shift change is eagerly awaited due to the harsh conditions.

Eastern Tumult Zone

The eastern part of Vagheria, located outside the walls, has been deeply affected by the various Tumult currents that have crashed against its steep foothills. A strange grove has unfolded there over the years, featuring disturbing flora:

• Carnivorous plants
• Herbs that mimic human voices
• Flowers with hypnotic movements
• Pollen with soporific properties

Few dare to venture there without an escort, except for certain Yzmir or Muna.

Research Laboratory

Yzmir and Muna have established a laboratory and greenhouses in the eastern Tumult zone. Their aim is to collect and study the properties of these plants, which have been strongly marked by the Tumult.
