Chambellans are political officials who serve within The Asterion, the government complex of Asgartha. The position carries significant administrative and diplomatic responsibilities.

Many Chambellans of the Asterion have been appointed from within Sigismar Synd’s family, descendants of Ayxas. This family has a tenacious reputation for being composed of individuals willing to use all stratagems to achieve their goals and capable of tackling thorny problems head-on without fear of getting their hands dirty.

The family’s dark reputation, stemming from Ayxas’s tyrannical regime, has been turned into a political asset. Members of the lineage use the disgust and fear they inspire to compel action through intimidation and deception, making them effective in certain political roles where such tactics prove necessary.

Political Function

Sigismar’s father, a relentless politician who works late in the corridors of the Basileus’s palace, exemplifies the Chambellan’s role. He infiltrated diplomatic circles not to act benevolently, but rather to compel action through intimidation and deception.
