Basileus
Overview
The Basileus is the elected monarch and executive leader of Asgartha, serving as the head of the Trusted Council.
Creation of the Title
The position of Basileus was created during the Regional Development period (Stochastic Federation era), replacing the earlier title of Kuningas (High King) or Kuningatar (High Queen).
Role and Powers
The Basileus, elected for a usual term of ten years, arbitrates the sessions of the Trusted Council. In cases of tie votes, the Basileus has the authority to decide the direction they deem most appropriate.
The Basileus is advised by:

- The Chancellery - politicians and scholars not affiliated with any Faction
Security
The Kuninguard serves as the personal guard of the Basileus, loyal to the office rather than the individual.
