Eros

Overview

Eros is a flaming Eidolon representing the Greek god of love. The entity manifests as fire spirit with wings that can create barriers of flame alongside other fire beings. Eros appears when summoned through love and emotional connection, providing both combat support and encouragement to those who invoke him.

Appearance

Eros appears as flaming spirit that lands like meteorite, accompanied by intense light that shines above and dazzles observers. The entity possesses wings that unfurl and molt in clouds of feathers that drift in air before vanishing. When Eros laughs, his wings spread and he radiates encouraging presence. The god is described as “gracing” those he aids with his presence.

Combat Capabilities

Eros creates defensive barriers by landing alongside other flaming beings, with two or three fire entities forming protective line between threatened individuals and attackers. The intense light Eros generates can blind and freeze enemies momentarily, buying critical time for counterattacks. Ice creatures are particularly susceptible to being dazzled and forced to blink frantically when confronted by Eros’s radiance.

Summoning Through Love

Eros responds to emotional invocation based on love and connection. When summoner draws on love they feel for another and calls upon love that has guided their steps, Eros manifests to provide aid. The summoning may be instinctive rather than deliberate, triggered by desperate circumstances and strong emotional bonds.

Battle at Storvhit

393 AC - Against Belisenki

During Storvhit expedition, Atsadi was surrounded by approximately twenty Belisenki in mountain pass. Atsadi drew on love he felt for Aurora to give him courage, calling upon love that had guided each of his steps. Eros landed like meteorite on Atsadi’s right side while intense light shone above, dazzling and comforting him.

The Belisenki ice creatures froze momentarily, blinded by the light. Two then three flaming beings landed creating barrier between Atsadi and the Belisenki. The creatures hesitated as Eros laughed with wings unfurling. Atsadi stepped back to focus on next attack, letting Eros make first move while summoning blazing fire.

Later, as Atsadi counted down, Eros’s figure disappeared with wings molting in clouds of feathers that drifted away and vanished. The god and other Eidolons dissipated like candles being snuffed out, having bought the time needed. As they disintegrated, the Eidolons released the ideas that shaped them.

Nature and Connection

Eros’s manifestation demonstrates connection between love, courage, and summoning power. The entity provides both practical combat assistance through flame barriers and psychological encouragement through reassuring presence. Whether Atsadi instinctively materialized Eros himself or whether Surge came to his aid remained unclear, suggesting fluid relationship between summoner’s will and Eidolon manifestation in desperate circumstances.
