Sandman

Overview

The Sandman is an Eidolon that manifests in clouds of golden dust and creates ghostly figures from sand and half-formed dreams. It possesses the ability to induce sleep and is summoned to assist storytellers during bedtime rituals.

Timeline

381 AC - Storytime on the Ouroboros

Auraq summoned the Sandman to help tell the story of Chiara Caceres and the Song of One to children in the dormitory aboard The Ouroboros. While Auraq served as storyteller and narrator, the Sandman acted as director and production designer, creating sand figures depicting palaces including The Asterion, cathedrals of glass and greenery, and battlefields. The children gradually fell asleep as the Sandman’s golden dust took effect.
