Lucas Aveskamp advocates for reallocating funds granted to the Expeditionary Corps and redirecting them to the Asgarthan populace. He views the Rediscovery Endeavor as “an indulgence from and for the elite” that “harms the people, who suffer every day.”

Aveskamp gained traction among those who view the Rediscovery Endeavor as a burden. He was particularly outspoken during the Caer Esvander suspended mines strike and the subsequent intervention of private militias, which increased his influence. He was chosen as leading candidate by defectors from Amaro Arundhani’s camp following Arundhani’s alliance with Anuncia ruun-Aysun.
