Ollam

An Ollam is a venerable Muna priest who officiates The Musubi bonding ceremonies at Bark Refuge. During the ritual, the Ollam weaves and intertwines the spiritual threads of two beings through The Skein, binding their essences into a permanent union.

The Ollam who presided over Teija and Nauraa’s ceremony anointed each participant with a drop of sap before beginning the intertwining process. Kauri later imitated an Ollam’s gestures when performing a field Musubi between Soledad and Halua at The Screed.
