Elysium
Overview
The Elysium was the palace of the Kuningas (High King) during the early period of Asgartha’s history, serving as the seat of royal power.
The Torment
In 74 AC, Kuningas Ayxas secluded himself for several months in his Elysian quarters, where he received numerous dignitaries, advisors, and analysts. Hidden away in his palace, he devised a plan and founded The Castigar and The Magan.
The Rebellion (86 AC)
In 86 AC, insurgents stormed the Elysium with the help of certain royal guards. Eskheret ruun-Kurush breached the fortress gates during the final assault and died from wounds sustained. Gericht vaan-Bracht fought at the vanguard and stormed the throne room.
When the mutineers entered the throne room, Ayxas was there waiting for them. He rebuked the rebels, arguing that their rebellion would spell humanity’s doom and claiming everything he had done was necessary for humanity’s survival. He was subsequently judged by a people’s court and sentenced to exile.
