Ventauri Clan

Overview

The Ventauri Clan is one of the nine Lyra Sarabands. The Clan has achieved the rare distinction of living in symbiosis with a Leviathan, residing among the hollow scales of Meander, the Serpent Leviathan.

Symbiosis with Meander

The Ventauri Clan lives in symbiosis with Meander, the Serpent Leviathan. Clan members dwell among the hollow scales of the creature. The Lyra negotiated with Kaibara, the Whale Leviathan and protector of Asgartha, to allow Meander to continue roaming the Peninsula in exchange for ensuring it does not cause trouble within the Oasis.

• Nittaya Vorona: Dancer born into the Ventauri Clan; became concubine of Basilissa Annuska Valiont (325-335 AC); one of the Paramours of Seki
• Somayeh Bahman: Skald and memorialist of the Ventauri Clan; elected fourteenth Basilissa of Asgartha (393 AC)
