Baba Yaga
Overview
Baba Yaga is an Eidolon who serves as guardian and watcher of The Black Wave, one of the two persistent Tumult singularities housed within The Kadigir. Her presence at the Black Wave was one of the reasons Aysun chose this location for founding the Yzmir Bastion.
Appearance and Forms
Grandmother Form
In peaceful state, Baba Yaga displays a friendly grandmother manner. She serves herbal tea in steaming cups and brings trays with sugar-coated cookies, pastries, and preserves. She sits knitting woolen scarves.
Harpy Transformation
When The Black Wave quivers and danger approaches, Baba Yaga transforms into a harpy with a terrifying face. She grabs her pestle and summons her mortar.
Isba
Baba Yaga dwells in an isba (hut) that moves on chicken legs. The isba responds to threats from the Black Wave by beginning to move.
Timeline
391 AC - Monitoring with Akesha
Akesha Adhikari was assigned to monitor The Black Wave alongside Baba Yaga at Gora Grove. Baba Yaga served spiced tea with cloves, cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom while knitting on the isba terrace.
When danger emerged from the Black Wave, the isba started moving on its chicken legs. Baba Yaga grabbed her pestle, summoned her mortar, and transformed from friendly old woman into harpy. Akesha covered herself with Sigils in response.
