Martengale Form

Loki commonly manifests as martengale - cross between marten, rabbit, and jay. This form appears intentionally plain and frail, sickly in appearance, but looks deceive.

392 AC - Warning Message to Dorothy

Loki manifested in martengale form landing on balustrade of Dorothy’s balcony. Began grooming ears with paws. Dorothy placed self between creature and Ozma recognizing who hid behind plain form.

Dorothy greeted with nod but Loki just licked paws while staring with golden eyes. Dorothy wondered what could have persuaded him to leave his domain and enter theirs.

As Dorothy approached Loki uncurled long bushy tail revealing message hanging from it. With one long canine tooth untied knot holding little note and let it drop into Dorothy’s hand. Gave hint of smile perfectly capturing mischievous temperament.

Dorothy opened note and started deciphering words full of strikethroughs, scribbles, spelling mistakes. Read it then read again gradually unfurling seemingly endless scroll. Full of speculation, stylistic verbiage, nonsensical digressions.

Tiring of childishness Dorothy tried to skip to end only to realize it was never-ending scroll. Scolded him as he rolled around on railing almost falling into void few times. Then he finally decided to let her continue reading.

With wide eyes Dorothy finally read end of message. With wave of hand created tornado to whisk him away to own realm.

If what Loki said was true some nasty business was afoot in shadows.
