Meredith

Overview

Meredith is an Axiom shipowner and businesswoman affiliated with the Quarrymen’s Guild in Hadera. She is the mother of Isaree Thongsuk and wife of Rama Thongsuk.

Business Activities

Meredith operates as a businesswoman, spending much of her time traveling across Asgartha to close trade deals and open new aerial transit routes. Her frequent absences limited her presence in her daughter’s upbringing.

The Enosha Strikes

During the 384 AC Enosha Strikes, Meredith was the most vocal shareholder demanding expulsion of the strikers, as the Aerolith production stoppage endangered construction of her new airship fleet. She was elected chair of the board during the crisis and confronted her daughter Isaree Thongsuk across the negotiation table as the strike committee’s delegate.

Prior to negotiations, Meredith ordered Isaree to withdraw from the strike and threatened to disinherit her. When Isaree refused and left the family home, the estrangement became permanent. After days of fruitless discussions, management under Meredith’s leadership refused all demands, leading to the workers’ seizure of the mine by force.

Following Isaree’s exile to Arkaster, Meredith used her network and influence to sabotage her daughter’s projects, causing funding to disappear and doors to close whenever Isaree attempted major ventures.
