Hadera

Overview

Hadera is the chief town of Caer Esvander, a city built on the side of a floating islet. It has a population of approximately 231,000 inhabitants.

Economy

Hadera’s economic strength comes from its open-pit Aerolith quarries. It is because of this ore that the entire Province, along with Caer Alcada, has risen into the sky.

Mining Impact

Due to these mining activities, some islets sink and eventually fall to the level of the Undersea. This constant geological change is a feature of life in the floating Province.

Transportation

Hadera hosts a fleet of levitating barges that dredge Aerolith cargo to the rest of the Peninsula.

Like everywhere else in Caer Esvander, the inhabitants of Hadera have a way of life connected to their aerial habitat.

Notable Residents

Zhen, Ordis Rear Admiral and Exalt, was born in Hadera in 330 AC. Her parents Bai Shan-shu and Madelyn Moss settled in the city after leaving The Cebir in 329 AC. Zhen spent her childhood in Hadera, exploring the chaotic heights around the city and visiting small floating isles where her father practiced paragliding.
