Solstice Gate

Overview

The Solstice Gate is the sole terrestrial entry and exit point of the Asgarthan Peninsula, located within The Rampart. It is one of the sixteen strongholds along the magical wall and was sealed centuries ago following the loss of Caer Oorun to the Kraken.

Historical Significance

When the Kraken defeated Kaibara and conquered Caer Oorun, The Rampart was built in great haste to prevent the Leviathan from threatening the rest of the peninsula. The Solstice Gate, the only land opening within this gargantuan wall, was sealed forever to protect Asgartha from external threats.

Structure

Like other strongholds along the Rampart, the Solstice Gate is topped with a floating tower housing Kelon cores that power the magical turbines pushing The Tumult currents outward.
