Origin

In Arthurian mythology from the World Before, Avalon was the legendary island where King Arthur was taken after his final battle, destined to return when Britain needed him most. The reference in Rune’s scroll connects the Rediscovery Endeavor’s true purpose to this mythological tradition.

Significance

Rune’s message names Avalon as the destination where “the king will awaken,” connecting the Phoenix’s rebirth to this western location. Whether Rune himself, the Phoenix, or another entity awaits renewal there remains unclear from the scroll’s text.
