Temera Singh
Overview
Temera Singh is the Grand Admiral commanding the Rediscovery Endeavor, a pan-faction exploration initiative conceived by Basileus Avkan ruun-Heshkari and formally proclaimed in 392 AC. She directs the Expeditionary Corps operations into the Terra Incognita, coordinating forces from all six factions aboard The Ouroboros. Singh is not a member of any Faction, a quality that was a decisive factor in her appointment, ensuring the neutrality of the Rediscovery Endeavor. She is implicated in a sealed conspiracy connected to the Mesektet crash that killed scientist Madelyn Moss, with information about both the Cebir and the Mesektet sealed by the admiralty.
Background
Mesektet Conspiracy
Prior to commanding the Rediscovery Endeavor, Singh was among high-ranking admiralty officials who regularly visited the home of Madelyn Moss and Bai Shan-shu in Hadera to discuss secret projects behind closed doors. Through The Musubi with Zephyr, Zhen later witnessed fragmentary memories identifying Singh as one of the visitors involved in the conspiracy. Information about both the Cebir and the Mesektet has been sealed by the admiralty. Singh now leads the Rediscovery Endeavor alongside de Graaf, making both figures difficult for Zhen to approach in her investigation.
Timeline
390 AC - Recruitment by the Basileus
Basileus Avkan ruun-Heshkari personally recruited Admiral Singh to lead the Expeditionary Corps during a private meeting at The Asterion. Abelen Sundström put forward Singh’s name, and the Privy Council voted mostly in her favor among all candidates proposed. Her status as unaffiliated with any Faction tipped the scales, ensuring the neutrality of the Rediscovery Endeavor.
390 AC - Haven Visit
Admiral Singh conducted an official visit to Haven Bastion with a security cordon established to control access, during which a Phoenixian Guard messenger’s attempt to deliver a message led to a confrontation with Silje, a Haven bouncer maintaining the security perimeter.
392 AC - The Cebir Reclamation Directive
Admiral Singh issued a directive to reclaim Cebir fortress in Caer Oorun to plan exploration of the western coastal region beyond the Turbulent Shores, and insisted that Waru Toowoom be accompanied by a small contingent during his journey to the Mesektet crash site in Irundu.
392 AC, September - Battle of Madan Bay
Admiral Singh commanded operations from The Ouroboros during the Battle of Madan Bay, proposing use of The Ouroboros itself as bait to lure the Kraken into position while acknowledging the final decision rested with Esmeralda, Shepherdess of the Kasirga Clan, as the vessel hosted the civilian Sahanka population.
393 AC, January - Jayu Deployment Deliberations
Admiral Singh faced difficult decisions regarding force deployment to the Jayu Region as the Council of Factions hesitated given disturbing reports of strange phenomena including rings of light and beams that transformed objects into red salt.
393 AC, January 15 - Storvhit Deployment
Admiral Singh documented the Storhvit deployment where the vanguard faced grueling progress with fatigue evident among Exalts, identifying six distinct biome environments (Tundra, Taiga, Frozen Lake, Canyon, Caverns, Spur) with the goal of reaching Cais Adarra as a secure haven against Tumult singularities.
393 AC, January - Avalanche Rescue Operation
Admiral Singh ordered The Ouroboros toward a distress signal from a snowy pass where an avalanche had descended into the valley, deploying Brassbugs from the main hangar via parachute to assist rescue efforts when troop contingents were spread thin due to Belisenki hostilities.
393 AC, February 21 - Belisenki Hostilities
Admiral Singh documented escalating conflict with Belisenki targeting Corps convoys at Storhvit using guerrilla warfare tactics, with Axiom zoologists revealing an eusocial moth-like species exhibiting soldier and field medic castes capable of wielding minor Alteration to manifest snow and ice phenomena.
393 AC, March 5 - Kuraokami Strategic Dilemma
Admiral Singh documented the discovery of Kuraokami, a primordial dragon Oneiros imprisoned at the heart of Cais Adarra, identifying an ethical conflict between The Covenant First Law requiring protection of all life and The Concord requiring aid to Oneiroi, and proposed consultation with Faction representatives and a popular vote.
393 AC, March 26 - Cais Adarra Base Camp Establishment
Drawing on theories of Moyo Chibuye, the Expeditionary Corps successfully traversed Belisenki territory and established a makeshift camp at Cais Adarra foothills, with Admiral Singh remaining alongside ground forces rather than retreating to The Ouroboros while investigating Kuraokami’s imprisonment.
393 AC, April 2 - The Nilam Discovery
Admiral Singh documented the discovery that Cais Adarra contains a colossal dead world-tree named The Nilam with proportions rivaling The Spindle, with Muna arborists proposing Tenth Refuge establishment while The Asterion desired Storhvit incorporation as Caer Nilam Province.
393 AC, May 15 - Kuraokami Liberation and Caer Nilam Governance
Admiral Singh documented Kuraokami’s liberation triggering a climate crisis as temperatures rose, selecting Jack Frost as replacement patronage while granting temporary governance of Caer Nilam to Ordis supported by Yzmir despite Muna advocacy for natural reserve status.
393 AC, May 28 - City of Scholars Arrival and Exploration Delay
The Expeditionary Corps reached the estimated location of the City of Scholars after a four-month journey across Caer Nilam (approximately 250 miles from Caer Oorun borders), establishing a forward outpost at The Screed around the Crow’s Eye chasm. Admiral Singh ordered a delay of underground exploration, a decision that generated significant political debate in Asgartha with Senator Muttunbaal criticizing the Rediscovery Endeavor’s pace and Senator Noya Kagama defending its accomplishments.
393 AC, September - The Hunger Confrontation
Admiral Singh observed from The Ouroboros deck above The Crow’s Eye while Exalts confronted The Hunger in The Maze below. When a pillar of light erupted from the abyss, Singh ordered medics and rescue crews deployed immediately. A second column of light then appeared on the distant horizon beyond The Screed’s cliffs.
393 AC, September 17 - Post-Hunger Aftermath
Admiral Singh documented the aftermath of The Hunger’s destruction, requesting reinforcements from Asgartha as the confrontation had proven grueling for Exalts following the exhausting events at Caer Nilam. The Tagmata deployed one new Exalt in response. Singh noted that Chimerae discovered in Caer Oorun and Caer Nilam could be bonded through The Musubi, and that rumors spoke of an unregistered Exalt aboard The Wayfarer.
Singh recorded Sanctum historians’ findings that the city was once called “Serdica” or “Sofia,” named after the soul that manifested there, with Yzmir theorists identifying the Sap as a vital fluid responsible for Sofia’s awakening. The outpost was renamed “Sofia” in the entity’s honor, entrusted to Bravos for protection and Muna for provisions. Singh also documented a second luminous signal burning continuously to the southwest, potentially indicating another community or entity, though a violent Tumult storm blocked the path while the planned route continued northwest toward Avalon.
393 AC, October 15 - The Turmoil Crossing
Admiral Singh documented the fleet’s crossing of The Turmoil, an endless sea of clouds with the Tumult roaring beneath. After nearly two weeks of traversal, the 18-ship armada had approximately 150 nautical miles remaining to reach the second signal’s source. The cruiser AES Concord sustained severe hull corrosion from a Tumult pocket explosion and turned back for repairs.
Singh noted a Remanence-like affliction spreading among crews due to prolonged Aether exposure, with Rati physicians and Muna experimenters providing treatment. She documented her intention to appoint Saskia Averina to lead The Ouroboros’ Greenhouse. Multiple lookouts reported a massive shadow beneath the cloud surface following the convoy, potentially a Leviathan.
393 AC - The Whiplash
With the fleet only a few nautical miles from the pillar of light, Admiral Singh documented a massive obstacle blocking the armada’s final approach: The Whiplash, a double-funnel cyclonic tornado with counter-rotating winds exceeding 500 kilometers per hour. All drones and probes sent through were destroyed, and no passage could be found—beneath lay Tumult winds of unprecedented magnitude, while the top of the funnel harbored the most violent forces. Singh suspected the barrier was deliberately erected as a protective measure. Major Dimuri subsequently announced an unidentified visitor requesting an audience with the Admiral concerning the Whiplash.
393 AC - Whiplash Crossing and First Contact
Admiral Singh commanded the fleet during a three-hour crossing of The Whiplash, using Leviathans led by Halua as a vanguard to pierce the cyclone. The Leviathans consumed Mana along their path, creating a low-Tumult slipstream that allowed the armada to follow. Exalts aboard a skiff at the front of the formation protected an unnamed caller who lured the Leviathans through. Both The Ouroboros and The Wayfarer sustained superficial structural damage during the crossing, with one of the Wayfarer’s balloons bursting.
Upon emerging into the cyclone’s eye, the fleet discovered Asty—a living megalopolis built upon a floating island and a world-tree comparable in scale to The Nilam or The Spindle. Singh estimated the city’s surface area may surpass Arkaster. When Reka warships formed a defensive barrier, Singh ordered the Ouroboros, Mandjet, Mesektet, AES Horizon, and AES Tempest to arm weapons and compute firing solutions. The standoff was resolved when the Reka broadcast a welcome message, translated by a Horomancer using Irises, addressing the Asgartha fleet as “lost sons and daughters of humanity.”
