Turbulent Shores

The Turbulent Shores is a western coastal region located beyond The Cebir fortress in Caer Oorun. The region lives up to its name with dangerous waters that have deterred exploration.

Geography

The Turbulent Shores live up to their name. Amidst the stacks, in the depths, powerful whirlpools arise without warning, threatening to break the ships that dare to venture there and to draw them towards the depths. Many explorers believe that it is here that the Kraken has taken up residence, and therefore avoid venturing too far into these reefs.

Geographic Location

The Turbulent Shores lie to the west of The Cebir fortress in the Elikadura Fjords. The region represents the western coastal territories that the Rediscovery Endeavor planned to explore from their forward base at Cebir.

392 AC - Planned Exploration

In October 392 AC, Admiral Temera Singh’s directive was to reclaim The Cebir specifically to plan the exploration of the western coastal region beyond the Turbulent Shores. This directive indicated the region was a priority target for the Rediscovery Endeavor’s expansion efforts.

However, following intervention by Wanjiru, the Yzmir Faction locked down The Cebir, citing a quarantine. This action complicated immediate plans to launch expeditions toward the Turbulent Shores.

Strategic Importance

The Turbulent Shores represented the next phase of westward exploration for the Rediscovery Endeavor. Securing The Cebir as a forward base was considered essential preparation for eventual expeditions into this coastal region.
