Wanjiru

Overview

Wanjiru was a Yzmir Horomancer who became a legendary hero during The Severance War in the early 3rd century AC. After leaving a profound mark on history as both a war hero and founder of The Qorgan, he achieved the status of Eidolon/Oneiros upon death, allowing continued existence and influence.

Background

At the outbreak of The Severance War, Wanjiru was a young Horomancer stationed in Caer Arcolano. Despite Yzmir’s declaration of neutrality, he pledged allegiance to Telmo, the Governor of Caer Arcolano. As the war worsened, Wanjiru secretly investigated, sensing hidden manipulation behind events. Through patient observation he uncovered The Isfet, a chaos sect orchestrating the conflict.

Despite his status as an apostate for breaking Yzmir neutrality, Wanjiru alerted the Yzmir Magisters about the conspiracy. The Magisters intervened decisively, halting advancing armies while Wanjiru led strike teams against identified agitators. High-ranking officials in both loyalist and rebel factions were exposed as conspirators.

Celebrated as a hero after the war’s end, Wanjiru remained uneasy, believing The Isfet had been backed by unknown outside forces. He founded The Qorgan, a Yzmir cell specialized in tracking and eliminating threats to Asgartha.
