The Sahanka: Mist
The Ossonoya Clan’s home is Mist, a Sahanka described as a huge metal citadel that rolls across the plains, emitting vapors. True to its name, Mist is surrounded by fog and mist. The Sahanka is equipped with mighty chimneys, metal platforms, dizzying ladders, protective railings, and colorful masses swirling in the clouds.
The structure features maintenance platforms, smokestacks, terraces, and long stairs. Deep caterpillar tracks are left in the ground as the metal colossus continues its journey across the landscape.
Character and Reputation
The Ossonoya Clan is known for being fond of secrets, as noted by Esmeralda when discussing Nevenka’s banishment from the Clan. This secretive nature appears to be a defining characteristic of the Clan’s culture.
Known Members
- Nevenka (Nev): Graffiti artist who was born within Mist and later banished from the Clan by its Shepherd. She became a Lyra Exalt despite her exile.
- Blotch: Chimera who became Nevenka’s companion and sensei after testing her patience and perseverance for 64 days
Leadership
Like all Lyra Sarabands, the Ossonoya Clan has a Shepherd who serves as the daily authority representing the Clan’s Matriarch. The Shepherd was responsible for banishing Nevenka from the Clan, according to rumors mentioned by Esmeralda.
The Clan also has a Matriarch at their helm, an elder who ensures the respect of traditions and the memory of the Faction, serving as one of the exclusive interlocutors for the Nine Sisters.

Life within the Ossonoya Clan follows the typical Lyra pattern of nomadic existence - life in the open air, constant wandering, and the presence of bards and artists. Children grow up within the moving Sahanka, though some like Nevenka found the environment restrictive.
