Council of Factions
Overview
The Council of Factions is a deliberative body that coordinates major deployment decisions during the Rediscovery Endeavor. The Council brings together representatives from all six Factions to deliberate on strategic matters affecting the Expeditionary Corps.
Function
The Council serves as the political coordination mechanism for the Rediscovery Endeavor, working alongside the military command structure led by Grand Admiral Temera Singh. While the Admiral holds operational authority, the Council deliberates on matters requiring inter-faction consensus.
393 AC - Jayu Region Deliberations
In January 393 AC, the Council of Factions deliberated on the appropriate response to disturbing reports from the Jayu Region. Strange phenomena including rings of light in the night sky and beams that transformed objects into Red Salt prompted difficult discussions about force deployment.
The Council hesitated on the nature of forces to deploy given the anomalous conditions. Temera Singh faced numerous requests regarding deployment while attempting to strike a delicate balance in her decision-making.
Relationship to Other Bodies
The Council of Factions appears to function as a field-level deliberative body for the Rediscovery Endeavor, distinct from The Conclave which gathers Faction representatives to advise the Basileus on domestic governance in Arkaster.
