Curcio was one of ten elite Battle Mages of the Kadigir who participated in the coordinated assault against the Kraken in 392 AC and escaped injury by teleporting to safety when the meteor strike was intercepted.

Battle Against the Kraken

In 392 AC, Curcio was among the most powerful Initiates of the Kadigir deployed in the military operation to destroy the Kraken. Curcio joined nine other illustrious Battle Mages in forming a circle hovering around the imprisoned Leviathan, concentrating their Mana to call down a star from the sky.

The Mages traced complex Signs in the air to shield themselves with protective Sigils and imbued Senka with power to ascend toward the heavens and create a meteor strike. However, an unseen assailant from the horizon struck the comet mid-descent, causing it to disintegrate into blazing fragments that rained down on the assembled forces.

During the storm of burning debris, Curcio demonstrated quick reflexes and mastery of teleportation magic, escaping to safety at the last moment. This survival skill distinguished Curcio from other Battle Mages who were struck by falling shards or caught in the chaos.

The teleportation allowed Curcio to avoid the injuries that befell several comrades during the Kraken’s subsequent violent counterattack after breaking free from its plant prison.
