Asta was one of ten elite Battle Mages of the Kadigir who participated in the coordinated assault against the Kraken in 392 AC.
Battle Against the Kraken
In 392 AC, Asta was among the most powerful Initiates of the Kadigir deployed in the military operation to destroy the Kraken. The battle took place in a cove where all six Factions coordinated their forces under Sigismar’s strategy.
Asta joined nine other illustrious Battle Mages - including Afanas Korovinovich, Elewa, Yasti, Mathis, Biska, Curcio, and Matera - in forming a circle hovering around the imprisoned Leviathan. The Mages concentrated their Mana to call down a star from the sky and reduce the Kraken to ashes, tracing complex Signs in the air to shield themselves with protective Sigils.
The operation involved imbuing Senka with power as he ascended like reverse lightning toward the heavens, creating a meteor strike. However, an unseen assailant from the horizon struck the comet, causing it to disintegrate into blazing debris that rained down on the assembled forces and freed the Kraken from its plant prison.
The fate of Asta following the meteor’s destruction and the Kraken’s violent counterattack remains uncertain, though several Battle Mages were struck by falling debris or caught in the chaos of the battle.
