Anno Concordiae
Overview
Anno Concordiae (abbreviated AC, meaning “Year of the Concord”) is the calendar system established by Rune when he founded Asgartha in Year 1 AC. The dating system commemorates the proclamation of the Concord, the founding treaty that bound all Tumult Nomad tribes into one people.
Year 1 AC
Year 1 AC marks the moment when the Phoenix crowned Rune at Kuningasplatz, Rune proclaimed the Concord, the Tumult Nomad tribes bound themselves into one people, the nation of Asgartha was founded, and The Trusted Council was established.
Usage
All dates in Asgarthan history are calculated from this founding moment. The abbreviation AC appears in all official documents, historical records, and everyday usage throughout Asgartha. The current year as of the Rediscovery Endeavor’s launch is 392 AC.
The period before Year 1 AC—the time of The Great Wandering, the Age of Tumult, and the ancient world before The Confluence—is referenced as “before the Concord.”
