Phonomancy

Overview

Phonomancy is one of the five Spheres of The Naali, the Yzmir alteration style. It focuses on the manipulation of ideas through voice and sound, using techniques called the Psalms.

Method

Phonomancy practitioners harness the power of spoken and sung words to shape reality. Through carefully crafted Psalms—vocal utterances, chants, and songs—they can manipulate Aether and alter the world around them.

The Psalms work by:

• Encoding ideas into sound
• Channeling concepts through vocal vibrations
• Shaping reality through spoken and sung words
• Resonating with the fundamental frequencies of ideas

School and Temple

Within The Kadigir, there is a dedicated Temple for Phonomancy that serves as a learning place for Initiates. The School is headed by a Magister who represents this magical discipline on The Magisterium, the High Council of the Yzmir.

Place Among the Spheres

Phonomancy is one of five complementary disciplines:

• Eidomancy: Invocation via Effigies
• Horomancy: Divination via Irises
• Phonomancy: Manipulation via Psalms
• Kinemancy: Mastery via Signs
• Gephyromancy: Transfers via Sigils

Practitioners may specialize solely in Phonomancy or combine it with other Spheres as part of their magical education.
