Caer Alcada
Overview
Caer Alcada is one of the autonomous Provinces (Caers) of the Asgarthan Protectorate, occupying the eastern portion of the Enosha peninsula. The province is also known as the Makonis Heights, positioned high in the clouds.
Geography
The Makonis Heights constitute the primary region of this elevated province. The landscape features one of Asgartha’s most bizarre ecosystems, filled with chaotic biomorphic forms such as mounds of pink moss. Cloud banks frequently drift over the landscape, absorbing the sulfuric fumes from volcanic areas.
Flora
The grasses, flowers, and groves that grow in Caer Alcada are distinctively pink or purple in coloration. The trees planted in The Kadigir originate from this region. Unusually, the trees do not exhibit leaves but rather colored bubbles that grow on their branches.
Volcanic Activity
Some areas of the province are volcanic, with barren ground exhaling toxic vapors.
Coral Forests
Other regions are covered with coral forests, resembling maritime reefs but existing on solid ground rather than underwater.
Population
Total provincial population: approximately 34,000 inhabitants.
