Nosk is an Ordis communications officer and Coalescence expert who specializes in broadcasting through The Gestalt.

Background

Nosk was recruited into the Ordis military years prior to 392 AC. Gulrang Oduro remembered him from his recruit days, noting he lacked typical soldier temperament but thrived when given freedom and creativity. During training, Nosk organized dice games in the mess hall and defused arguments among troops to maintain morale, though his sergeant disapproved of these activities.

Timeline

391 AC - Recruit Inspection

Sigismar Synd introduced Nosk to Commodore Jin-Hee Jeanty during recruit inspection. Nosk gave Sigismar a bored look, finding the formalities a waste of time.

392 AC - Mesektet Recovery Expedition

Nosk was assigned to Gulrang Oduro’s unit as communications officer for the expedition to recover the crashed Mesektet in Irundu. Aegis command designated him to broadcast the expedition through the Gestalt for propaganda purposes.

During the expedition, Nosk managed complex emotional and visual streams from the entire unit, organizing sensory data into narratives for distant Ordis observers. He broadcast daily images of Tocsin covered in jungle vegetation, making the Chimera a popular Ordis mascot. When the unit discovered the Mesektet wreckage, Nosk coordinated collective excitement through the Gestalt, working in overdrive with sweat pouring and veins throbbing at his temples as he broadcast multiple simultaneous views.

When soldiers mistook granite formations for evidence of betrayal aboard the ship, collective fury spread through the Gestalt with repeated accusations of “Traitor!” Gulrang showed Nosk evidence that roots had shifted the formations and the apparent blade was geological protrusion. Nosk then corrected the distorted representations in the Coalescence, replacing false accusations and restoring calm.

393 AC - BLISS! Concert Broadcast

At Vera Valesquia’s request, Nosk coordinated the Gestalt broadcast of the BLISS! concert at The Screed. He positioned camera teams for wide shots, close-ups, panoramic views, and aerial angles to create dynamic coverage for Coalescence audiences reaching The Monolith. He welcomed the assignment as a change of pace from covering Storhvit exploration progress and City of Scholars descents.

Before the concert, Nosk sat at a table with a bottle of Katsubichi rice liquor when Nevenka spotted him. She nearly joined him but remembered she was expected elsewhere. Nosk shrugged and poured himself a shot, accustomed to her unpredictable mood swings.

393 AC, June-August - Filming Recruitment Video

Nosk operated camera for Sigismar Synd’s Rediscovery Endeavor recruitment video, streaming memories of expedition scenes before Sigismar flubbed his closing line.
