The Monolith

Overview

The Monolith is a white bipyramid that serves as the Bastion of the Ordis faction in Arkaster. The structure is divided into two sections: The Sanctum (upper) houses a labyrinthine library, while The Anthill (lower) contains administrative and judicial offices.

Structure

The upper section, The Sanctum, contains scriptoria, consultation halls, and archives housing the collected knowledge of the world.

The lower section, The Anthill, serves as the administrative and judicial heart of the Ordis. It contains the Oratory, the Assembly, and the Tribunal where laws and edicts are crafted.

Design

The white bipyramid design is reflected in the Ordis Glyph—the small diamond-shaped tattoo worn by all Ordis members. From its position in Arkaster, the Monolith overlooks the expanse of Asgartha, the surrounding sea, and the capital’s streets and port.
