Overview

Tumult Jammer is device used by Expeditionary Corps to keep Tumult emanations at bay during operations beyond Asgartha. Device features rotating antenna like enormous weathervane that prevents landscape warping, reality twisting, and mutagenic effects while active.

Physical Description

Device mounted on armored expedition vehicles with large antenna that rotates continuously above vehicle like weathervane. Antenna visible from distance, marking protected zone around vehicle.

Function and Operation

Protection Capabilities

While Tumult Jammer runs, it:

• Keeps Tumult emanations at bay
• Prevents landscape warping
• Prevents reality twisting
• Protects against mutagenic effects
• Creates safe zone around vehicle

As long as jammer active, personnel within range remain safe from Tumult’s transformative influence.

Observable Effects

When jammer pulses active, wisps of rosy clouds (Tumult manifestations) are driven back from slopes. In jammer’s wake, stone transforms into smooth saffron-colored striations. Concept of wind subtly manifests forming brief gusts only to be interwoven with other ideas before jammer disperses them.

Alteration Integration

Jammer can have concepts channeled into it through Alteration. During 393 AC tsunami event, Sierra channeled concept of “Sealing” into jammer attempting to protect vehicle from incoming wave, demonstrating device can be augmented through Alteration techniques.

Role in Expeditions

Durability

During 393 AC tsunami from Storvhit, despite Sierra channeling “Sealing” concept into jammer, device could not prevent massive wintry wave from overwhelming vehicle defenses. Parasitic ideas manifested inside cabin after impact, suggesting jammer either failed or was damaged by extreme Tumult surge.
