Gault is a member of the Jusaka Blaze Altrun team and the romantic partner of Kojo Oduro.

Background

Gault is part of the Jusaka Blaze, an Altrun team based at the Speedster’s Den tavern in Arkaster. The team includes captain Carmela, Uju, Cathal, and Gault.

Timeline

~387-390 AC - Supporting Kojo’s Training

When Kojo Oduro joined the Jusaka Blaze, Gault was a constant support throughout his difficult early training. While Kojo struggled—tripping, slipping, and scraping his elbows on cobblestones—Gault comforted him through failures and frustrations, encouraged him during practice, and congratulated him when he succeeded in tricks.

~390 AC - First Victory and Romance

Before Kojo’s first official Altrun match, Gault gave him a discreet nod and conspiratorial smile that dispelled Kojo’s anxiety. Kojo won the race. That evening, the team celebrated together. After Carmela left first and Cathal departed in the early morning, with Uju asleep on the couch, Gault stayed with Kojo. Gault brought his face close to Kojo’s and kissed him on the lips. Kojo returned the kiss and snuggled into his embrace.

~391 AC - Supporting Kojo’s Dream

When Kojo revealed his childhood dream of finding Rune had never left him and his future lay with the Expeditionary Corps, Gault listened attentively and hugged him with tenderness and sadness. Gault went to great lengths to ensure Kojo’s application was accepted: approaching instructors at the Kurung, standing in line at the Monolith to process Kojo’s file. When saying goodbye, Gault reassured Kojo that he would be waiting when he returned.

392 AC - Carnelian Crown Ceremony

Gault attended the ceremony where Kojo received the Carnelian Crown from Basileus Avkan ruun-Heshkari for defeating the Kraken. As Kojo climbed the stairs to receive Asgartha’s highest honor, Gault placed a hand on his heart and gazed at Kojo with warmth, encouraging him.

393 AC - Eidolon Manifestation

During the Rediscovery Endeavor, Kojo summoned Gault as an Eidolon in the Illyrian Quadrant of the Cloud Realm. The Eidolon materialized beside Booda, jumping around and waving his arms. Kojo and the Eidolon trained together, falling back into familiar habits and taunts. After training, Kojo tackled him and they tumbled through a field laughing, with Kojo pressing his forehead against Gault’s as tears ran down his cheeks.
