Esmeralda, known as Esme, is Eidolon who lives perpetually manifested among Kasirga Clan. She became one of them by constantly mingling with clan, sharing their lives despite being creature of imagination.

Perpetual Manifestation

Esmeralda lives like mortals do, perpetually manifested rather than returning to Empyrean between summonings. She shares lives of Kasirga Clan members, becoming integrated into their community.

Personality and Character

Esmeralda is flamboyant, caring, and strong-willed. She remains always ready to help clan members. Her beauty remains constant - she hasn’t aged a day despite years passing for mortal companions.

Relationship with Cayrat Steinn

Esmeralda shared life of Cayrat Steinn, grandfather of Fen. She remained with him even though he was mortal and she eternal creature. Cayrat adored Esme for her vibrant personality and willingness to help.

When Cayrat fell ill and became bedridden in his later years, Esmeralda sat at his bedside with tender smile. As he lay dying, tear rolled down Eidolon’s cheek. Fen witnessed this display of emotion - dagger piercing heart seeing beloved Esme cry.

392 AC - Helping Restore Itoro

Aboard Ouroboros during Rediscovery Endeavor, Esmeralda crossed arms over chest concerned about friend Itoro’s condition. Lyra calligrapher had been parasitized by Tumult wave - leg turned elastic like rubber, left hand became laces of silky flesh.

Akesha tapped into Esmeralda’s thoughts to access Eidolon’s memories of Itoro. By summoning Esmeralda’s memories, Akesha could create accurate mental image of what Itoro looked like before parasitization changes. This allowed restoration of original appearance.

Significance

Esmeralda represents rare case of Eidolon choosing to remain permanently manifested among mortals. Her integration into Kasirga Clan demonstrates depth of bond possible between imaginary beings and human communities.
